Let the train take the strain and journey by super-fast Eurostar from St Pancras to Paris' Gare du Nord, then on to Chantilly. Meet your tour manager and transfer the short distance to the sumptuous Chateau de Montvillargenne in its parkland setting. Settle into your room and enjoy your first three-course dinner.
This morning, join your tour manager for a visit to the sparkling Chateau de Chantilly, a glorious late-19th-century building surrounded by gardens designed by Le Notre, of Versailles fame, and intimately associated with the famous racecourse on its doorstep. Those interested in the 'sport of kings' will be fascinated by the museum, housed in the chateau's stable-block.
After the chance to explore the small town of Chantilly, return to the hotel to rest and relax, perhaps making use of the facilities in the wellness centre and spa. This evening, Christmas celebrations begin with an aperitif followed by a four-course evening meal, accompanied by complimentary mineral water, wine and coffee.
Enjoy a relaxed start to the special day, joining your tour manager on a walking tour of the delightful walled town of Senlis. The town boasts ancient ramparts crowned by the Gothic spire of the magnificent cathedral - the perfect place in which to enjoy a Christmas morning stroll. Later, return to the hotel to enjoy a special four-course Christmas lunch.
After a relaxed afternoon doing exactly as you please, a lighter, two-course evening meal will be served.
Rest and relax after the festivities, or join your tour manager on an optional excursion to Paris, the incomparable City of Light, all-the-more-special for being dressed in its festive cloak. Your Tour Manager will introduce the glorious sights of the French capital, before a chance to enjoy a few hours' exploration of one of the world's most captivating cities. Return to the hotel for a last evening meal, at the end of a wonderful festive break.
Bid farewell to your hosts and transfer back to Chantilly station for your journey back to Gare du Nord and onward return to St Pancras.
