Itinerary
Day 1: UK – Budapest
We fly to Budapest in Hungary where our ship awaits. You can then relax onboard as we begin cruising along the Danube.
Day 2: Budapest
This morning we have time to explore Budapest. To help get your bearings, you could join our optional city tour, which introduces you to some of the most prominent highlights of the city known as the ‘pearl of the Danube’. These include the 700-year-old Matthias Church, Parliament building – a magnificent example of neo-gothic architecture, and Buda Castle, which rises 48 metres above the river. In the afternoon join our optional excursion which takes you through the sweeping plains of Hungary to Lajosmizse. Here we visit a traditional stud farm and enjoy a tour of the grounds in a horse-drawn carriage, before watching a spectacular live Puszta horse show. We set sail in the late afternoon and cruise towards Bratislava.
